Artist's Comments

Image is seen through a car's driver side rear view mirror. The sun shows intense rays on the side and the enlarged face in the windshield of the following car seems sad and pensive. I reflect the sense of being over someone by having passed them by, viewing them only in hindsight... The contrast between what should be seen ahead (totally dark) and the bright sunlight in the background seems to indicate that the future is less important than the past, that all things will be seen in hindsight alone.

Interesting concept. The glare of the sun is a nice touch.

It's so intriguing.

Your description is lovely and I really dig the roughness of the image in the mirror, works really well with the concept of past and future.

Awesome shot.
